How the Manjakkudi implementation was evaluated, what changed between the start and end of the programme, and how to read the results.
Methodology
The toolkit was implemented at Swami Dayananda School, Manjakkudi, with children in Grades 4–5. Classroom teachers were trained to run the five activities twice a week over five weeks.
Questionnaires were developed in English and Tamil so children could respond in either language. Children completed the questionnaires before and after the programme, and their responses were compared across selected domains.

Results
Each chart compares responses before the programme with responses after it.
Reading these results
The purpose of the evaluation is not simply to demonstrate an outcome, but to understand how the intervention performs in a real classroom and how it can be refined for future implementation.
The evaluation compares the same children before and after the programme. Without a comparison group, changes cannot be attributed to the activities alone, and results from one school may not hold in other settings. Collecting data from further schools is part of the plan for the next phase.
